This is my Major Project Design for my final year. The Basketball shoe is a concept for a Nike branded shoe.
The idea behind the shoe is that it gives Slashers an advantage over their defender by using Gum Rubber on the sole of the shoe (the red part near the ball of the foot) to have more grip and therefore transferring more of the force that the leg and foot provide to the shoe when the Slasher turns the corner to get past his defender.
The Upper has a mesh to provide breathability and the midsole has Zoom Air for cushioning while running and landing and a carbon fibre plate for arch support.
